Bone Graft
Bone loss in the jaw can have negative health effects and can prohibit patients from receiving necessary procedures like dental implants .
A bone graft can restore your jaw, prevent future problems, and prepare you for other desired procedures.
Patients throughout the Lakewood, CO, area come to Colorado Premier Dental to receive bone grafts from our dentists.
Dental Bone Grafting Basics
During bone grafting surgery, our dentists places grafting material in areas of the jaw where bone loss has occurred. He can transfer tissue from a part of your body that has more than enough bone, or use outside tissue replacements like a synthetic substitute.
The tissue placed during a graft creates necessary support for your bones and stimulates your body to create new, healthy jaw tissue. The formation of natural bone in areas where bone loss had occurred helps prevent oral deterioration and allows our Lakewood patients to receive the restorative dentistry procedures they desire.
